The nanny called me at work yesterday. There was a lot of sighing, and a definite note of irritation.
"I heard Kate on the monitor and went upstairs to get her. I found her with a handful of poop, rubbing it in her hair, on the crib, her bedding - everywhere!"
For once I was really, really, glad that I'm a working mom. It was like 90 degrees out, and her little room is really stuffy. I'm sure with my morning sickness, there would have been another color mixed into her palette.
It reminded me of that "the Nanny" episode where the little girl had a habit of reaching down her diapers and grabbing her crud and would fling it everywhere. I hope to GOD that doesn't happen.
But, in other ways, I can claim that my daughter is a "butt"ing artist. Badump-ching!

Yikes! I'm not sure why the nanny called you. What are you supposed to do about it over the phone?
Here's hoping my kids don't go through that phase. Please.
My nanny would have done a half-assed job of cleaning it up so I'd still have to tackle it later that night. When it is nice and dried.
That is the moment of toddlerhood that I fear most. It was close one night when I looked at the video monitor and saw that Jillian was sleeping completely naked!
You make me so happy that my daughter was never interested in her own poop! And I second the "why did the nanny call you?"
Just hope it's the last time it happens. My daughter thought she was Picasso in diapers one day too. Thankfully the artistic-poo urge never came again.
Happy ICLW!
I would also have been glad to not be home for that adventure. I have to third the why did she call you question as well.

Congrats on no longer going through fertility treatments, being a mom AND having a baby on the way. Oh, how life can change!
I pretty much spend my Sundays doing "whatever" for hours, so, I best be careful what I wish for! If I end up having twins on the way, then life will be changing for me too!
